Community Room
The Crafton Community Center was opened in the Spring of 1995, and is located at 140 Bradford Avenue, adjacent to the Crafton Municipal Building. The Crafton Community Center is home to the Crafton Public Library, Crafton Historical Society Archives, Crafton Community Room and the Edward A. Witt Council Chambers. The Community Room is available for use by the various Youth Organizations, Senior Citizen programs, and for private rental.
The Community Room, which is located on the second floor of the Community Center, includes amenities such as, a full kitchen with refrigerator and stove for heating food, large open space for gatherings, tables and chairs to accommodate approx. 80 guests, and restrooms. The entrance is positioned on the parking lot side of the building and is handicap accessible.
The Community Room rental season runs from January 2, through December 31, of each year. Residents and Non-Residents may complete the rental application and show proof of residency by providing a current and valid State Issued Photo ID.

Weekly Rental Long Term Permit Application Fees
*must be for at least 8 consecutive weeks and no more than 24 weeks, limited to 4-hour time blocks.

- Non-Resident Individual or Business/Corporate Entity $200.00, per day.
- Non-Resident Non-Profit Organization $125.00, per day.
*Rental Deposit is required for ALL Pavilion Rentals and is due with the application fee at the time of booking.
Security Deposit: A security deposit (refundable) of $100.00 is required at the time of booking. This security deposit is separate from the rental fee and is subject to the terms and conditions of Crafton Borough’s current Rules of Use and Rental Policy.
Booking Policy: Reservations will be accepted for the Community Room beginning the first business day of that calendar year. Reservations must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the requested date.
Non-Profit Organization Exemption: The following organizations or entitles shall be exempted from the Community Center rental fees referenced above: (1) a Crafton Borough agency or commission; or (2) a non-profit organization with its principle administrative offices located in Crafton Borough, as long as the organization provides proof of the non-profit status acceptable to the Borough. For purposes of this General Fee Schedule, a non-profit organization shall be defined as an organization that is qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, 26 U.S.C. §501(c)(3), or equivalent status. Borough Employees, Fire Department Members, Elected and Appointed Officials can receive a 50% discount on one rental per year.

Rules & Regulations
Crafton Community Center
All Groups must observe the Rules of Use and Rental Policy.
The rental of rooms will not conflict with any municipal activity.
- All fire regulations must be observed, including: Keeping all exits clear at all times. No smoking. Posted maximum room capacity.
- All groups using rooms in the community center will be responsible for damage and/or stolen property and will be required to fully replace the same. All groups using rooms in the community center will be expected to clean up and leave the rooms in excellent condition. Cleaning supplies/brooms are stored in closet next to Ladies Room. All trash must be removed and placed in the dumpsters (located in the parking lot). All table and chairs must be returned to the manner in which they are found prior to event. An hourly cleaning charge may be assessed if rooms are not in satisfactory condition as determined by the community center committee person. Failure to comply may result in the forfeit of security deposit to cover such costs.
- Signs, posters, and/or decorations in the rooms are not to be taped, tacked, or nailed to the walls. Any exceptions must be approved by the Borough.
- Any equipment to be brought into the building must be listed on the application form, and meet with the approval of the Borough.
- All youth groups (under 21) must be supervised by an adult (21 or older) at all times when the building is occupied. This adult will be responsible for the behavior of the group. There will be no exceptions to this policy. The decision as to the need for security guard(s) or chaperones will be made by the community center committee person. Financial liability for such services will be the responsibility of the renter.
- Rentals are subject to the Current Fee Schedule. This Schedule includes fees per classification; A, B or C. A Security Deposit is also required. No refund will be issued of a Security Deposit in the event any Applicant fails to follow the rules of this Rental Policy. Deposit refunds will be issued at the Council Meeting following your event date.
- NO ALCOHOL is allowed on the premises.
- Anyone violating policies will be subject to immediate expulsion from the building and forfeiture of all money.
- CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds will be issued for reservations cancelled no later than seven days prior to the scheduled date. A service charge may be assessed for all cancellations. No refunds will be given for cancellations made later than seven days prior to the scheduled date.
Kitchen Rules
- The kitchen facility is intended to provide a method of keeping prepared food ready to be served. Any requested access to the kitchen constitutes kitchen usage and must be indicated on the application and applicable fee paid for same.
- Cooking food or frying food is not permitted in the kitchen. The stove/oven is to be used for heating or reheating only. No leftovers may be left in the kitchen or refrigerator. Use of Borough equipment, utensils, etc. stored in the kitchen is not permitted.
